Darmmess Lebanese Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil comes exclusively from Deir Mimas, Southern Lebanon. A small village of unspoiled beauty and authenticity, overlooking the Litani river, neighboring Beaufort castle built by the crusaders and hosting the historic Mar Mema monastery. This hidden jewel is home to 130,000 ancient olive trees (up to 2,000 years old).

Nested among the hills, Deir Mimas is covered with majestic olive trees harking back to Biblical times. It is also blessed with white soil naturally rich with clay, a temperate climate and an average altitude of 580 meters. Deir Mimas is commonly referred to as the “Bordeaux of Olive Oils” in Lebanon

Developed for a niche market of connoisseurs, Darmmess is a medium intensity Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Rich and very well balanced in terms of taste between the pungent (5.6), the bitter (5.9) and the fruity(5.8), it pleases all palates.

From Tree to Bottle in 24 hours:

Organic Culture: Our olive trees taken care of all year long are grown naturally. We are in the conversion period process to be certified BIO globally. 

Monovarietal EVOO: Among all available varieties, we only harvest the Souri (originated from Sour/Tyr), considered one of the oldest varieties in the world. We do sort our olives removing any dry or sick fruits which can potentially lower the quality of our EVOO. Early Harvest: Unlike common practices, we start our journey end of September of every year. This timing generates a low yield but is behind an unequaled quality of Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

First Cold Extraction: A modern process whereby at a temperature below 27C, the olives aren't pressed as such but rather extracted by a centrifuge. The components of EVOO responsible for the characteristic aroma and scent are unchanged. It is a lower production for the same amount of olives but a much higher quality of the oil. 

Filtering: To eliminate the small particles of olives responsible for oxidation with time, and ensuring a stable high level of freshness.
